La Scuola d’Italia is an independent and private bilingual English/Italian educational institution, from the pre-K level through High School (Liceo). Named after Guglielmo Marconi, one of history’s greatest inventors and Nobel Prize winner in 1909 for his development of wireless telegraphy, La Scuola offers a curriculum that leads to a high school diploma (Maturità) that is recognized and highly and widely appreciated by universities in the United States, Italy, and throughout the European Union. Our graduates attend some of the top colleges and universities in the world.
La Scuola’s educational programs are rooted in the best Italian/European and American traditions for internationally oriented studies. Our programs offer substantive academic content, provide significant intellectual stimulation, promote personal growth, and encourage students to be open to innovation and new technologies.
La Scuola takes great pride in its commitment to the integration of disciplines, cultures, and languages. Such integration is pursued by the dedicated, well credentialed, and highly skilled faculty working in a low teacher – student ratio environment.
The goal of our institution is to form students that are well prepared for the personal, university, career, social, cultural, and ethical challenges deriving from globalization.
The preparation we offer aims to assist our students in two major ways: (1) to acquire the skills and knowledge in the sciences, history, literature, philosophy, languages, and arts that will provide them with the foundation to excel academically in higher education and (2) to help them develop an understanding of the dynamic interaction among disciplines, cultures, and languages that will lead them to successful lives and careers.
