An open and caring environment where students sharpen their cognitive and imaginative skills and begin to discover their own voice.
La Scuola’s Middle School (grades 6-8) builds on the bilingual and multicultural education begun in Elementary School. The curriculum offers an integrated study of the Italian and English languages and literature, and strengthens French as a third major modern language. American history, social studies and geography, art, music, physical education, and the use of technology are taught alongside mathematics and the natural and physical sciences.
Moreover, in our bilingual Middle School emotional development and growth are fostered and a student’s awareness and appreciation of European and American cultures and their values are reinforced. Small class sizes and a close-knit student body gives students the confidence to have meaningful and productive relationships with fellow students, faculty and staff.
Highly qualified and native speaking teachers conduct classes in Italian or English, depending on the discipline. Supplemental language instruction is available for students who need to strengthen their language ability.
