Parents Association

La Scuola d’Italia warmly thanks the Parents Association for the outstanding program implemented throughout the year. The Parents Association plays a vital role in La Scuola’s community-building efforts and educational objectives. It is the School’s and Parents Association’s joint mission to build a strong community and support the educational goals of La Scuola. We look forward to all parents in every grade volunteering their time and participating in the Parents Association events. The La Scuola Parents Association benefits from the avid support it receives from the Head of the School, faculty, administrators, and staff. At the same time, the Parents Association is not an independent fundraising organization.

The Parents Association is governed by an independent committee of Parents elected biannually by the parent body. The overall goal of the Parents Association and the Class Representative is to create a sense of goodwill within his/her class. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming new families to the class
  • Serving as a source of accurate information and helping to resolve conflicts in a constructive manner
  • Encouraging parent attendance at the Parents Association and School events
  • Helping to organize class dinners and receptions
  • Encouraging and facilitating parent volunteerism at La Scuola

Class Representatives serve as a spokeperson for their class and are thus a crucial link between the Parents Association and the parent body.
