Annual Fund

Each fall, we launch the Annual Fund, an appeal to the entire La Scuola community for contributions that supplement the School’s yearly operating budget. The Annual Fund supports faculty salaries and financial assistance, as well as core programmatic needs such as teaching supplies, lab equipment, technology, musical instruments and more.

The Annual Fund also provides need-based support for any qualified student wishing to attend La Scuola. If you wish to designate your gift to the “Can Akant Johnny Toksu Educational Fund,” you will help to keep alive the memory of one of our most beloved students.

From the Head

Dear Families and Friends of La Scuola,

It is with renewed pride and utmost gratitude that I acknowledge the steady progress of La Scuola over the course of its four decades, looking at all the accomplishments of our students and dedicated faculty and staff, together with our supportive families and friends.

As Head of La Scuola d’Italia, I firmly believe in the importance and benefits of a bilingual education. We offer a warm, nurturing community as well as rigorous academics and a global mindset. La Scuola is a place where students and faculty from different cultures enjoy a sense of belonging, while following a curriculum that offers the best of both the Italian and American educational systems.

Since 1977, our teaching has been deeply rooted in the European classical tradition, offering a strong foundation in liberal arts, mathematics and science as well as an in-depth study and appreciation of American, European and Italian civilization and culture. Accredited by the New York State Association of Independent Schools, the Board of Regents of the State of New York, and the Italian Ministry of Education, La Scuola is also a Candidate School for the International Baccalaureate Programme.

We invite you to support La Scuola’s mission and activities by contributing to The Annual Fund.

We count on the strong, generous and unwavering support of our wonderful families and all of La Scuola’s friends and hope you will consider making a gift today. Options for giving are provided below.

Each gift is important and greatly appreciated. Our goal is 100% participation, and all gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by U.S. law.

As La Scuola continues to fulfill its mission by instilling in our students the love of learning and by educating tomorrow’s leaders, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks for your ongoing support.

On behalf of the students, faculty, and parents of La Scuola d’Italia Guglielmo Marconi, thank you for considering a gift to La Scuola.

Cordially,

Maria Palandra, PhD
Head of School
