Abstract Art program at MOMA!

On Thursday January 23rd, our Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade students went to the MoMA to participate in an Abstract Art program.
During our gallery tour, Museum educators engaged students in conversation and interactive activities related to the works of Henri Matisse, Jackson Pollock and Piet Mondrian. The children learned how artists use line, shape, and color to create non-representational works of art.
Inspired by what they saw in the galleries, the children then went to the MoMA Art Studio for a hands-on exploration and the opportunity to create their own abstract paintings!
