- ART: Thursday, February 20th Art classroom 9:50 (8th grade); 11:40 (7th grade); 1:10 (6th Grade).
Art Lecture by Prof. Pierce on Carnevale and Commedia dell’Arte. Iconographic slides of paintings that tell the historical and artistic features of Carnevale interpreted by Tiepolo, De Pero, and Picasso.
Workshop by Prof. Bonerba: Masks and artistic decorations typical of Carnevale.
Working in groups, students will experiment with the art of decorating masks for Carnevale.
- THEATER: Monday, February 24th 2:30 to 3:30 pm in the Gymnasium
Workshop on typical Carnevale characters
Theater workshop with Alice Lussiana and Elena Sartor on masks and characters of the Commedia dell’Arte, involving students in the \ personification of characters: Pantalone, Pulcinella etc.
- MUSIC: Tuesday, February 25th 9:50 to 10:40 in the Gymnasium
Video Conference with Prof. Vincenzo Paci, Clarinet Soloist at La Fenice Theater in Venice, coordinated by Prof. Miceli.
Prof. Paci will talk about tales and visions of the theater, combining elements of Carnevale and musical productions, such as “Il Pulcinella” by Igor Stravinsky and “Il Ballo in Maschera” by Giuseppe Verdi.
As part of his music classes, Prof. Miceli will illustrate the theme of Carnevale in music.
