International Elementary School

What parents are saying…

“As a parent of 2 boys of La Scuola (one in Kindergarden and one in second Grade), I’m very happy with the quality of the education provided by La Scuola.
One of the aspects I like is the small class size (for both my kids, they are 12 in their class): this really allows the teachers to follow the children individually, quickly realizing the deficiency in some (and helping these with targeted homework to quickly bridge the gaps with the rest of the class) and stimulating the curiosity of the more inquisitive minds (giving more advanced homework for those who are ahead of the class). I think this is a very positive aspect at La Scuola that I wanted to point out: it’s tailored education.”

“I want to thank you and LaScuola for providing my son with the highest level of education…You and many of the LaScuola teachers have played such an important role in preparing Anthony for college.  He made such an impression on his teachers with what he learned.  His English teacher wanted him to major in English so that he could become his TA.  The head of the Italian department quickly scooped him up and next semester he will be the TA for the upper level Italian classes.”

What students say about La Scuola…

“I graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelors in Biology. I am currently studying medicine at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton where I’ll eventually become a cardiologist.I think that La Scuola d’Italia did a great job of preparing me for the adversity of college by attempting to learn difficult subects in a foreign language.” Anthony Cioci (Class 2009)

“I am currently working for a PhD in Political Science and International Studies at the University of Birmingham (UK) supported by the British Economic and Social Research Council. I am also a teaching assistant in sociology. La Scuola d’Italia was a  experience I could not have done without. Graduating from a Liceo Scientifico in the USA meant that upon completion I could pursue higher education virtually anywhere in the world. This was a great privilege. Not least, La Scuola passed on an appreciation discipline which prepared me for both the hardships and the pursuit of happiness that life throws at us every day.” Elio Di Muccio (Class 2009)

“I work at a French Start Up called DynAdmic in New York. We specialize in online advertising. I studied International Business at Pace University with a concentration on Latin America. La Scuola d’Italia prepared me for college and life by instilling a curiosity for life that fueled by reason, passion and the willingness to change the world for the better.” Bruno Fortunato (Class 2009)

Angelo Russo (Class 2009)

“I graduated from Manhattanville College with a major in International Management, a minor in Communication and a concentration in Marketing. I’m currently a Specialist of Global Digital Marketing at MasteCard Worldwide in New York. La Scuola d’Italia helped me to develop my critical thinking and foreign language skills. These would later make me a more attractive business prospect and a dynamic asset to the workforce.” Jazmin Sagastiverza ( Class 2010)
