High School

La Scuola’s high school program creates unmatched opportunities for intellectual and academic growth, preparing students to study and succeed throughout the world.

“So glad we sent our daughter to this amazing school. The high school teachers are outstanding. You don’t have to be fluent in Italian to attend, but the kids that aren’t already fluent learn fast. Many cultures from around the world, not just Italian. It’s also a great place for Italian kids to learn the English language, and American culture. A true international experience with lots of warmth, and they offer the International Baccalaureate as well.”

Prepared to Succeed in School and in Life

  • Earn a diploma granting the right to study at any college or university in the U.S. or European Union plus Great Britain
  • Pursue an International Baccalaureate Diploma through a two-year high school program for high achieving students who want to create a more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect
  • Take on advanced-level, multilingual courses, reading Virgil and Ovid in Latin; Dante and Pirandello in their original Italian; and Chaucer, Shakespeare, and Virginia Woolf in Middle, Elizabethan, and Modern English respectively

Challenge that Inspires Achievement

Our high school curriculum challenges students to think critically and globally, recognizing the interconnectedness of the subjects they study. Although the traditional Italian curriculum is typically completed over five years, La Scuola’s students complete the curriculum, plus two additional academic courses—U.S. History and English Literature—in just four years.

International Baccalaureate Diploma

The International Baccalaureate Diploma is a two-year educational program that prepares students, aged 16 to 18, to address the future challenges at university and life beyond.

The International Baccalaureate Program aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment. These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

The IB Diploma has the potential to provide a competitive edge in areas such as admission, placement, college credit, and scholarships.
