PreK and Kindergarten
With intentionally small class sizes and caring, child-centered faculty, La Scuola’s Preschool provides a joyful, gentle introduction to school and learning. Our curriculum builds on a child’s innate curiosity and competence to enhance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development that has begun at home with you.
“I have both of my kids at La Scuola and cannot be happier. My son is in first grade and started at the school with the school in Pre-k3, and my little one just started Pre-k3 and loves it. The teachers are so caring, and there is a lot of diversity in the curricula. I truly recommend the school.”

The Ideal Bilingual Program for Preschool Children
Our bilingual program is ideal for children at this age because–whether your family speaks English, Italian, or another language at home—preschool children are still in the early stages of acquiring language. Our intimate, immersive classroom environment allows children to learn and practice both English and Italian through everyday experiences. The preschool curriculum includes drama, art, music, science, and psychomotor projects that infuse learning and play.
The Remarkable Benefits of the Reggio Emilia Approach
Inspired and guided by the Reggio Emilia approach to early education, La Scuola follows the Five Fields of Experience, or Campi di Esperienza. We frame our students’ learning by focusing on:
- Oneself and the Other—communication, personal identity, and socialization
- Body in Motion—movement and knowledge
- Languages and Creativity—languages and creativity, exploring music, art, drama, and multimedia expression
- Verbal Language and Words—oral communication, conversation, and words
- Natural Knowledge of the World—logical skills, problem solving, and awareness of space, time and nature
