La Scuola d’Italia is a Pre-K–12 independent school located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Founded in 1977 by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to meet the academic needs of Italians living in the New York City metro area, La Scuola d’Italia “Guglielmo Marconi” (La Scuola) has grown into a unique bilingual English/Italian Pre-K through high school (liceo) educational institution.
Teachers who received their educational training in Italy will be considered for employment only if they hold the appropriate credentials required by the MIUR for the subject/level they would be teaching. They are also required to have receptive and communicative (verbal and written) fluency in the English language.
Teachers who received their educational training in the USA are required to have at least a Bachelor’s degree in the subject area as well as pedagogical training. Relevant Master’s degree (or higher) and teaching certification are highly desirable. Learning the Italian language is required for ongoing employment with La Scuola d’Italia.

Teachers’ work calendar goes from the first day of September through and including the last day of June.
